62. Offence to give false information for bail purposes
A person who for the purpose of obtaining ¾
(a) a grant of bail for himself or a variation of the terms and conditions thereof; or
(b) approval of himself as a surety,
makes any statement which he knows is false in a material particular, or recklessly makes any statement which is false in a material particular, commits an offence.
Penalty: $1 000 or imprisonment for 12 months or both.
