COVID‑19 Response Legislation Amendment (Extension of Expiring Provisions) Act (No. 2) 2021
An Act to amend the following to extend the operation of provisions relating to the COVID‑19 pandemic —
·The Criminal Code;
·the Criminal Code Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020;
·the Emergency Management Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020.

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:
This is the COVID‑19 Response Legislation Amendment (Extension of Expiring Provisions) Act (No. 2) 2021.
This Act comes into operation as follows —
(a)Part 1 — on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent;
(b)the rest of the Act — on the day after that day.
Part 2 — The Criminal Code amended
This Part amends The Criminal Code.
In section 318(1A) delete “21 months” and insert:
27 months
In section 338B(2) delete “21 months” and insert:
27 months
Part 3 — Criminal Code Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020 amended
This Part amends the Criminal Code Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020.
In section 2(b) delete “4 January 2022;” and insert:
4 July 2022;
Part 4 — Emergency Management Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020 amended
This Part amends the Emergency Management Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020.
In section 2(c) delete “4 January 2022;” and insert:
4 July 2022;
