Criminal Code (Nazi Symbols and Salute) Regulations 2025
These regulations come into operation as follows —
(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;
(b)the rest of the regulations — on 1 March 2025.
In these regulations —
personal service, of a revocation notice on a person, means serving the notice by —
(a)handing it to the person; or
(b)if the person refuses to accept it — leaving it near the person and orally drawing the person’s attention to it;
revocation notice means written notice of the revocation of a Nazi symbol removal notice under section 80Y(6) of the Act.
4.Authorised methods of serving revocation notices
For the purposes of section 80Y(6) of the Act, each of the following is an authorised method of serving a revocation notice on a person —
(a)personal service of the notice on the person;
(b)delivering the notice to a physical address nominated by the person;
(c)delivering the notice to an electronic address nominated by the person.
