Short‑Term Rental Accommodation Act 2024

Short‑Term Rental Accommodation Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2025

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Short‑Term Rental Accommodation Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2025.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Short‑Term Rental Accommodation Regulations 2024.

4.Regulation 5 amended

(1)In regulation 5(1) insert in alphabetical order:

 

Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum means the annual event known as the Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum hosted by Palace Securities Pty Ltd operating under Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum (ABN 62 008 747 671);

 

(2)In regulation 5(2):

(a)in paragraph (d) delete “day.” and insert:

 

day;

 

(b)after paragraph (d) insert:

 

(e)premises in the local government district of Kalgoorlie‑Boulder that are provided as short‑term rental accommodation only during the period beginning on the day before the first day of the Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum and ending on the day after the last day of the Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum in each year.
