Children’s Court of Western Australia Act 1988

Children’s Court Amendment Regulations 2026

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Children’s Court Amendment Regulations 2026.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Children’s Court Regulations 2008.

4.Regulation 3 amended

In regulation 3 —

(a)in paragraph (g) delete “behaviour.” and insert:

 

behaviour;

 

(b)after paragraph (g) insert:

 

(h)a person who is —

(i)employed in the department of the Public Service principally assisting in the administration of the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1911; and

(ii)carrying out functions in relation to the assessment of detainees as defined in the Young Offenders Act 1994 section 3(1).
