Trans‑Tasman Mutual Recognition (

An Act to amend the Trans‑Tasman Mutual Recognition (Western Australia) Act 2007 to continue the adoption of the Trans‑Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 of the Parliament of the Commonwealth (including the amendments made to it before the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent), and for related purposes.

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:
1. Short title
This is the Trans‑Tasman Mutual Recognition (
2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation as follows —
(a) sections 1 and 2 — on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent;
(b) the rest of the Act — on the day after that day.
3. Act amended
This Act amends the Trans‑Tasman Mutual Recognition (
4. Long title amended
In the long title delete “25 October 2007)” and insert:

5. Section 3 amended
(1) In section 3(1) in the definition of termination day delete paragraph (a) and insert:
(a) 31 January 2023; or
(2) In section 3(2) delete “within 5 years after this Act comes into operation” and insert:
earlier than 31 January 2023
(3) Delete section 3(3).
6. Section 4 amended
In section 4(1) delete “25 October 2007.” and insert:
