Carnarvon Electric Lighting Act 1924

An Act relating to Electric Lighting in the Municipality of Carnarvon.

[Assented to 9th December, 1924.]

Be it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: — 

1.Short title

This Act may be cited as the Carnarvon Electric Lighting Act 1924.

2.Power to exempt certain portions of the district from rates

It shall be lawful for the Council of the Municipality of Carnarvon to exempt from liability for rates, in respect of electric lighting, such portions of the municipal district as the Council may, by any by‑law, prescribe, and until such by‑law is made the town lots within the municipal district numbered 260 and upwards.
