1.Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Criminal Code (Authorised Persons) (Videotapes of Interviews) Regulations 1997 1.

3.Criminal injuries compensation assessors prescribed as authorised persons (s. 570B)

(1)A person to whom this regulation applies is an authorised person for the purposes of section 570B of The Criminal Code.

(2)This regulation applies to — 

(a)a person appointed as Assessor under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1982 3; and

(b)a person appointed as the Chief Assessor, acting Chief Assessor or an Assessor under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1985 4.

4.Parliamentary Commissioner for Administrative Investigations and others prescribed as authorised persons (s. 570B)

(1)A person to whom this regulation applies is an authorised person for the purposes of section 570B of The Criminal Code.

(2)This regulation applies to —

(a)the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administrative Investigations appointed under section 5 of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1971;

(b)the Deputy Parliamentary Commissioner for Administrative Investigations appointed under section 5 of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1971;

(c)the Acting Parliamentary Commissioner for Administrative Investigations appointed under section 7 of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1971; and

(d)a person appointed as an officer of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administrative Investigations under section 9 of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1971.
