GOVERNMENT RAILWAYS ACT 1904
Government Railways Act Regulations
These regulations may be cited as the Government Railways Act Regulations.
In these regulations —
“Act” means the Government Railways Act 1904.
“Department” means that branch of the public service employed in connection with Government Railways.

3.Appointments subject to Minister
For the purpose of section 73 of the Act the appointment to any office in the Department shall be subject to the Minister if the office is an office specified in the Schedule to these regulations.
Secretary for Railways.
Chief Civil Engineer.
Chief Mechanical Engineer.
Chief Traffic Manager.
Chief Accountant.
Director, Finance and Planning.
Director, Industrial Relations and Personnel.
Director, Management Services Bureau.
Marketing Director.
Signal and Communications Engineer.
