An Act to amend the Constitution Acts Amendment Act 1899 and the Electoral Act 1907.
[Assented to 23 May 2005]
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:
1. Short title
This is the Constitution and Electoral Amendment Act 2005.
2. Commencement
(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
(2) If the Electoral Amendment and Repeal Act 2005 has not received the Royal Assent before the day referred to in subsection (1), this Act comes into operation immediately after that Act comes into operation.
3. Constitution Acts Amendment Act 1899 amended
(1) The amendments in this section are to the Constitution Acts Amendment Act 1899*.

(2) Section 18 is amended by deleting “57” and inserting instead —
“ 59 ”.
4. Electoral Act 1907 amended
(1) The amendments in this section are to the Electoral Act 1907*.

(2) Section 16C(1) is amended by deleting “57” and inserting instead —
“ 59 ”.
(3) Section 16F(4)(b) is amended by deleting “57”.
