Finance Regulations Amendment (Workers Compensation) Regulations 2024
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
These regulations come into operation as follows —
(a)Part 1 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;
(b)the rest of the regulations — on 1 July 2024.
Part 2 — Duties Regulations 2008 amended
This Part amends the Duties Regulations 2008.
In regulation 5A(1) delete “Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 section 160(1)(b)” and insert:
Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 section 202(2) that insures an employer for a liability referred to in paragraph (b) of the definition of workers compensation policy in section 202(1) of that Act
Part 3 — Procurement (Debarment of Suppliers) Regulations 2021 amended
This Part amends the Procurement (Debarment of Suppliers) Regulations 2021.
In Schedule 2 in the Table delete item 7 and insert:

Part 4 — Taxation Administration Regulations 2003 amended
This Part amends the Taxation Administration Regulations 2003.
(1)In regulation 13J(1) delete the definition of WorkCover WA.
(2)In regulation 13J(1) insert:
WorkCover WA means the body established under the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 section 445(1).
(3)In regulation 13J(2) delete “Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981.” and insert:
Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023.
