Electricity Industry Exemption Amendment Order (No. 3) 2024
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
This order comes into operation as follows —
(a)clauses 1 and 2 — on the day on which this order is published on the WA legislation website;
(b)the rest of the order — on the day after that day.
This order amends the Electricity Industry Exemption Order 2005.
Delete clause 17(1) and (2) and insert:
(1)The holder of a generation licence is exempt from the Electricity Industry Act 2004 section 7(2) in relation to a transmission system used solely to transport electricity between 2 or more of the following —
(a)generating works to which the licence applies;
(b)storage works that are connected to the SWIS at the same point as the generating works;
(c)the SWIS.
(2)The holder of a generation licence is exempt from the Electricity Industry Act 2004 section 7(3) in relation to a distribution system used solely to transport electricity between 2 or more of the following —
(a)generating works to which the licence applies;
(b)storage works that are connected to the SWIS at the same point as the generating works;
(c)the SWIS.
