Magistrates Court (General) Amendment Rules 2024
Made by the Magistrates Court.
These rules come into operation as follows —
(a)rules 1 and 2 — on the day on which these rules are published on the WA legislation website (publication day);
(b)the rest of the rules —
(i)if the Road Traffic Legislation Amendment (Infringement Management Reform) Act 2024 section 38 comes into operation on or before publication day — on the day after publication day; or
(ii)otherwise — on the day on which the Road Traffic Legislation Amendment (Infringement Management Reform) Act 2024 section 38 comes into operation.
These rules amend the Magistrates Court (General) Rules 2005.
(1)In Schedule 2 Form 3:
(a)delete “section 14 of the Act” and insert:
section 14 or 14A of the Act (as applicable)
(b)after “section 17 of the Act” insert:
or balance payment order issued under section 17A of the Act (as applicable)
(2)In Schedule 2 Form 4AA:
(a)delete “section 14 of the Act” and insert:
section 14 or 14A of the Act (as applicable)
(b)after “section 17 of the Act” insert:
or balance payment order issued under section 17A of the Act (as applicable)
