Children and Community Services Amendment Regulations 2025
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
These regulations come into operation as follows —
(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;
(b)the rest of the regulations — on 1 May 2025.
These regulations amend the Children and Community Services Regulations 2006.
After regulation 4B insert:
4BA.Prescribed duties (Act s. 124A youth justice worker)
(1)In this regulation —
contact includes any of the following —
(a)any form of oral communication, whether face to face, by telephone or otherwise;
(b)any form of written communication;
(c)any form of electronic communication.
(2)For the purposes of paragraph (a)(vi) of the definition of youth justice worker in section 124A, the duties are any of the following —
(a)any duty that involves material contact with children;
(b)supervision of children;
(c)monitoring of children.
