Residential Parks (Long‑stay Tenants) Act 2006

Residential Parks (Long‑stay Tenants) Amendment Regulations 2025

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Residential Parks (Long‑stay Tenants) Amendment Regulations 2025.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Residential Parks (Long‑stay Tenants) Regulations 2007.

4.Regulation 8 amended

(1)Before regulation 8(1) insert:

 

(1A)In this regulation —

Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation has the meaning given in the Electricity Corporations Act 2005 section 3(1);

licence area has the meaning given in the Electricity Industry Act 2004 section 3(1);

Regional Power Corporation has the meaning given in the Electricity Corporations Act 2005 section 3(1).

 

(2)Delete regulation 8(1)(c) and insert:

 

(c)if the tenant has a separate electricity meter —

(i)fees for electricity consumed by the tenant; and

(ii)fees for the supply of the electricity (supply charges);

 

(3)After regulation 8(2) insert:

 

(3)A supply charge for agreed premises must not exceed the amount specified in —

(a)for agreed premises located within the licence area of the Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation — the Energy Operators (Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation) (Charges) By‑laws 2006 Schedule 1 clause 6(2)(a)(ii); or

(b)for agreed premises located within the licence area of the Regional Power Corporation — the Energy Operators (Regional Power Corporation) (Charges) By‑laws 2006 Schedule 1 clause 3(2)(a)(ii).
