Fair Trading Act (Amending Law) Proclamation 2025

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

This proclamation is the Fair Trading Act (Amending Law) Proclamation 2025.

2.Effect of Treasury Laws Amendment (Fairer for Families and Farmers and Other Measures) Act 2024 (Cth) (Act s. 19C(2))

For the purposes of the Fair Trading Act 2010 section 19, the Treasury Laws Amendment (Fairer for Families and Farmers and Other Measures) Act 2024 (Cth) has effect.

3.Commencement of amending provisions of Treasury Laws Amendment (Fairer for Families and Farmers and Other Measures) Act 2024 (Cth) (Act s. 19C(3))

(1)In this clause —

commenced amending provisions means the amending provisions of the Treasury Laws Amendment (Fairer for Families and Farmers and Other Measures) Act 2024 (Cth) that have come into operation in the Commonwealth before publication day;

Note for this definition:

The Treasury Laws Amendment (Fairer for Families and Farmers and Other Measures) Act 2024 (Cth) Schedule 2 items 4 to 28 are commenced amending provisions.

publication day means the day on which this proclamation is published on the WA legislation website.

(2)Under the Fair Trading Act 2010 section 19C(3), the commenced amending provisions come into operation for the purposes of the Fair Trading Act 2010 section 19 on the day after publication day.
