Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Amendment Regulations 2025
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
These regulations come into operation as follows —
(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;
(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.
These regulations amend the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulations 1999.
After regulation 7 insert:
8.Prescribed public authorities (Act s. 35B(2))
For the purposes of section 35B(2) of the Act, the Department of Internal Affairs of New Zealand is a public authority within the meaning given in section 35B(1)(c) of the Act.

The Department of Internal Affairs of New Zealand is a department listed in the Public Service Act 2020
