Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Act 2007

Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Amendment Regulations 2026

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Amendment Regulations 2026.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Regulations 2013.

4.Regulation 134A inserted

After regulation 134 insert:

 

134A.Information sharing agencies (Act s. 184(1))

For the purposes of paragraph (i) of the definition of information sharing agency in section 184(1), each of the following is an information sharing agency —

(a)the department of the Public Service principally assisting in the administration of the Bush Fires Act 1954;

(b)the department of the Public Service principally assisting in the administration of the Fire and Emergency Services Act 1998;

(c)Curtin University established under the Curtin University Act 1966;

(d)Edith Cowan University established under the Edith Cowan University Act 1984;

(e)Murdoch University established under the Murdoch University Act 1973;

(f)the University of Western Australia established under the University of Western Australia Act 1911;

(g)a local government, regional local government or regional subsidiary.
