Police Act 1892

Police Force (Member Testing) Amendment Regulations 2026

Made by the Commissioner of Police.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Police Force (Member Testing) Amendment Regulations 2026.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Police Force (Member Testing) Regulations 2011.

4.Regulation 6A inserted

After regulation 6 insert:

 

6A.Delegation of power to specify sample collectors

(1)The Commissioner may delegate the Commissioner’s power under regulation 6(1) to a police officer who holds or is acting in the office of —

(a)Deputy Commissioner of Police; or

(b)Assistant Commissioner of Police.

(2)The delegation must be in writing signed by the Commissioner.

(3)A person to whom a power or duty is delegated under this section cannot delegate that power or duty.
