Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Act 2009

Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Amendment (Petroleum Legislation) Regulations 2026

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Amendment (Petroleum Legislation) Regulations 2026.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day on which the Petroleum Legislation Amendment Act 2024 sections 3, 176 and 210 come into operation.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Gas Supply (Gas Quality Specifications) Regulations 2010.

4.Regulation 3 amended

In regulation 3(1) in the definitions of Mondarra Gas Storage Facility and petroleum delete “Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources Act 1967” and insert:

 

Petroleum, Geothermal Energy and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 1967

 

5.Various references to “Petroleum Pipelines Act 1969” amended

In the provisions listed in the Table:

(a)delete “Petroleum Pipelines Act 1969” and insert:

 

Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Pipelines Act 1969

 

(b)delete “Petroleum Pipelines Act 1969” and insert:

 

Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Pipelines Act 1969
