Children and Community Services Act 2004

Children and Community Services Amendment Regulations 2026

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Children and Community Services Amendment Regulations 2026.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Children and Community Services Regulations 2006.

4.Regulation 20AA inserted

At the beginning of Part 6 insert:

 

20AA.Relevant information (Act s. 23(1) and 28A)

(1)Information that facilitates the provision of social services to any of the following is information of a kind prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of relevant information in sections 23(1) and 28A —

(a)children, other individuals, families and communities at risk of being subjected to, or exposed to, family violence;

(b)persons subjected to, or exposed to, family violence.

(2)Subregulation (1) includes, but is not limited to, personal information as defined in the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024 section 4.
