Medicines and Poisons Act 2014

Medicines and Poisons Amendment Regulations 2026

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Medicines and Poisons Amendment Regulations 2026.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Medicines and Poisons Regulations 2016.

4.Part 12B heading replaced

Delete the heading to Part 12B and insert:

 

Part 12B — Schedule 6 nitrous oxide

 

5.Regulation 148E amended

In regulation 148E(1):

(a)in paragraph (d) delete “oxide.” and insert:

 

oxide; or

 

(b)after paragraph (d) insert:

 

(e)from a manufacturer, wholesaler or retailer, in a refillable container that is suitable for —

(i)industrial purposes; or

(ii)the purposes of racing activity (as defined in the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997 regulation 16A).
