Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012

Road Traffic (Vehicles) Amendment Regulations 2026

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Amendment Regulations 2026.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

(b)the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014.

4.Regulation 3 amended

In regulation 3 in the definition of tow truck:

(a)in paragraph (a)(ii) delete “motor”;

(b)in paragraph (b)(ii) delete “motor vehicle.” and insert:

 

vehicle;

 

5.Regulation 40 amended

In regulation 40(a) delete “road; or” and insert:

 

road; and

 

6.Regulation 138 amended

In regulation 138:

(a)in paragraph (a) delete “holder; or” and insert:

 

holder; and

 

(b)in paragraph (b) delete “demonstration; or” and insert:

 

demonstration; and

7.Regulation 150 amended

Delete regulation 150(3) and insert:

8.Regulation 203 amended

In regulation 203(2) in the definition of class 2 vehicle paragraph (d) delete “these” and insert:

9.Regulation 226 amended

In regulation 226 insert in alphabetical order:

 

ADR (Definitions and Vehicle Categories) means the third edition ADR titled “Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule — Definitions and Vehicle Categories) 2005”;

In regulation 244(5):

Note: The heading to amended regulation 407A is to read:

14.Regulation 415 amended

In regulation 415(1A) in the definition of lifting apparatus delete “motor”.

15.Regulation 479 amended

In regulation 479(2)(c)(ii) delete “regulation 483.” and insert:
