Education and Care Services National Law Application (Amending Laws) Proclamation 2026

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

This proclamation is the Education and Care Services National Law Application (Amending Laws) Proclamation 2026.

2.Effect and commencement of Early Childhood Legislation Amendment (Child Safety) Act 2025 (Vic) (Act s. 8(1) and (2))

(1)The Early Childhood Legislation Amendment (Child Safety) Act 2025 (Vic) has effect for the purposes of the Education and Care Services National Law Application Act 2026 Part 2 under section 7(2) of that Act.

(2)The provisions of the Early Childhood Legislation Amendment (Child Safety) Act 2025 (Vic) come into operation for the purposes of the Education and Care Services National Law Application Act 2026 Part 2 on 1 November 2026.

3.Effect and commencement of amending regulations (Act s. 14(1) and (2))

(1)The following amending regulations (the relevant amending regulations) made by the Ministerial Council under the Education and Care Services National Law have effect for the purposes of the Education and Care Services National Law Application Act 2026 Part 2 under section 13(2) of that Act —

(a)the Education and Care Services National Further Amendment Regulations 2025;

(b)the Education and Care Services National Amendment Regulations 2026.

(2)The provisions of the relevant amending regulations come into operation for the purposes of the Education and Care Services National Law Application Act 2026 Part 2 on 1 November 2026.
